In the early 1940s, Willy Breitling was already dreaming of a time after the war, when utility would give way to unbridled optimism. He began designing a chronograph that would be functional but also undeniably elegant and infinitely wearable — in his words, "the unmistakable stamp of impeccable taste". He called this new line the Premier.
