Chronograph Rocking Monopoder
The linesport collection is enriched with the new model Rattrapante Monopoussoir Chronograph available in 3 versions: one in pt 950 platinum, one in 18k gold 6n. And one made of grade 5 titanium. The 44 mm diameter, 12 mm thick case contains the new monopoussoir rattrapante chronograph movement with a very large date, developed in 18 ct pink gold. For the 6n gold and platinum versions, and in aluminum alloy for the titanium version.
The metal bracelets match the respective cases. Two new platinum and gold bracelets with a matte finish have been specifically developed. The titanium bracelet, meanwhile, is identical to the existing version of the linesport. The case and links are set with rubber inserts, similar to old car bumpers, which protect the metal of the watch from friction on smooth surfaces. The links of the fasteners are articulated in order to adapt to different wrist sizes and the folding clasp is adjustable in length by plus or minus 5 mm.
This chronograph has an 80-hour power reserve making it possible to use the chronograph with the effective split-seconds function after 2 days of walking and a very large date allowing a better visibility with a window of 5.20 x 2.80 mm.
The tachymeter bezel and figures with a new ceramic background typography make a wink to the watch for only watch.
A 3-position rubber overmolded crown:
- position 1: winding
- position 2: correction of the very large date
- position 3: setting the time.
The pushbuttons are in the same material as the case:
- a pusher at 2 o'clock for the functions of starting, stopping and resetting the chronograph.
- a pusher at 4 o'clock for the rattrapante.
This new caliber 1518, with manual winding, designed by FP Journe, is as usual entirely manufactured in our manufacture. FP Journe perpetuates the watchmaking tradition and the craftsmanship since every experienced watchmaker performs all the steps of the assembly from beginning to end, a unique case in the profession.
From the development of the chronograph made for only watch, this new movement has a chronograph clutch with a rocking pinion that avoids the jump of the needle at the start. It required an important development for the integration of the big date in a total thickness of only 6.80 mm, brand signature fpjourne. The magnificent finishes and decorations of the movement visible through a transparent sapphire crystal back are one of the undeniable qualities of haute horlogerie FP Journe.
